"The Night Strangers" by Chris Bohjalian is the book of the week.
I would say that my overall opinion of the book is a thumbs down. I had a hard time getting into the ghost story part of the story as well as the herbalists who take over most of the storyline.
The main character, Chip, is a pilot who while flying a routine flight, has some geese fly into his engines and from there he must find a way to bring his plane to safety. He lands in the water and a big wave causes the plane to somersault and 39 people die.
The aftermath of the crash and how Chip, his wife and his twin daughters deal with this horrible day is what follow in this book.
