In the book "Little Face" by Sophie Hannah, new mother Alice, who has a 2-week-old baby at home, goes out for the first time alone and comes home to the front door being wide open, her husband sleeping on the couch, and her baby being abducted and replaced with a baby that Alice doesn't recognize. David, her husband, does not believe the baby is different. Her mother-in-law does not know what to believe but is treating Alice differently. Then there are the police who are investigating and think Alice is going crazy or experiencing post-partum depression.
